The Hands symbolize the child’s active learning through physical movement and experiential discovery. We engage our students in sports, cultural activities, and community service projects, ensuring maximum participation and hands-on learning experiences.

Sport Activities
We offer a diverse selection of activities, including swimming, soccer, cricket, karate, athletics, and our latest addition, archery, which has become a favourite among our learners.
Engaging in these sports not only hones athletic skills but also imparts valuable life lessons. Through participation in these activities, students learn discipline, develop accuracy, and build core strength. Archery, in particular, captivates learners as it cultivates focus, precision, and mental fortitude.

Madrassa
Our afternoon maktab classes take place after school from Monday to Thursday, and focus on core Islamic studies and character development. The curriculum is guided by the Islamic Educational Organisation of South Africa (IEOSA) curriculum, and the Ghazali Children’s curriculum. The subjects taught are: Quran with tajweed, hifz (surahs & duas), practicals, Arabic, history, fiqh and tahdhib.

Environmental Club
Embrace the power of environmental stewardship through our dedicated Environmental Club. With a strong commitment to conserving our precious environment, this passionate group goes beyond carbon footprint efforts.
The club’s activities center around the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle, fostering a sustainable mindset among our students. Through engaging initiatives and hands-on projects, they actively work towards minimizing waste, promoting eco-conscious practices, and preserving our natural resources.
One notable endeavor of the club is the development and care of our school vegetable garden.
DIY Club

My choice for this school was primarily because it’s Islamic and Montessori based. As time has gone by I have realized that the added bonus is that it is a community-based school.We have visited and supported orphanages, and collected for the poor, this I value greatly for my children.My children also have daily interactions with children of different cultures and backgrounds. Further, Maryam is so lucky to have such a dedicated team of teachers who are always willing to give of their best. I have always had theirco-operation with personal issues relating to my child which is very important at any school.Finally my personal advice to any parent is to do as much for your child as you would expect the school to do.

I researched every possible facility, I attended many open days and spoke to many an eager directress.
My criteria were: A secure & safe environment. An Islamic Ethos (I wanted her little mind to be nurtured and nourished).I got all this and so much more. I can undoubtedly say that Wonder Academy has a complement of amazing, intelligent, and caring women as teachers. WOMEN WHO ARE DEDICATED TO THE WELL-BEING, DEVELOPMENT, SAFETY, AND HEALTH OF YOUR CHILDREN. The idea of respect, skills building and developing the child’s confidence are all very important aspects at Wonder Academy.
