Reflections
On Rebranding
Over the last six months, we’ve been reflecting deeply on our three-decade-long journey through education. These reflections have been humbling, and a motivation to continue along this noble journey, for which we are incredibly grateful.
In our reflections, we engaged our learners, staff, and the Wonderkids’ community on our strengths, our weaknesses, and the opportunities for our improvement. What became clear is that our school’s identity was not being showcased adequately or reflected appropriately by our name, ‘Wonderkids’’. A natural progression following two decades of the pre-school, the Wonderkids’ Primary School emerged and grew organically out of the pre-school. After more consultation and conversations with the Wonderkids’ community, it became imperative that we adequately convey the new identity of our school through our name. In other words, our school needed to embark upon the bold and important step of rebranding.
Rebranding required the school community to reflect upon what our primary and preschool embodied, and how to encapsulate that in our name. After a lengthy process, with insightful and creative inputs and prototypes from the grade 6s and 7s, “Wonderkids’ Primary School” and the “Wonderkids Montessori Preschool will be transitioning to the “Wonder Academy of Excellence.” This we believe reflects our identity as a school, and our approach to nurturing the minds, bodies, and hearts of our learners.
The Wonder Academy of Excellence will continue to inspire a love for life-long learning by sparking awe and wonder at the creation of the Divine. In nurturing a generation excited to learn, improve themselves and contribute to society, we will continue to focus on the intrinsic rewards of awe and wonder. We look forward to continuing this journey with you, God-willing.
